Yes, I mean Leonardo da Vinci not Leonardo DiCaprio! As I have often said, one of hatha yoga's principal benefits is the development of mind-body awareness. Leonardo da Vinci assiduously studied every facet of the human body. Author Michael Gelb discusses this and many of Leonardo's other keen interests in his dynamic, inspirational book, How to Think Like Leonardo da Vinci. Did Leonardo do yoga? I don't know. Probably not. However, according to Gelb, one of Leonardo's principles for developing genius in everyday life was to develop a "sound mind in a sound body." It seems that Leonardo da Vinci followed some yoga principles in his approach to life.
What I love about yoga is its emphasis on cultivating a deep awareness of the physical body and the mind-body connection. When I do my hatha yoga poses each morning, I delight in focusing on each s- t - e - t - c - h and feeling my muscles elongate. Gentle hatha yoga prescribes holding poses for set periods of time. It's all about slow, dreamlike movements that help offset the often harried pace of our lifestyle.
Leonardo da Vinci, the epitome of the Renaissance person, emphasized physical health achieved through regular strength building and flexibility exercises. And as Gelb explains one of Leonardo's principles, "The secret to a good stretch is to take your time, bring your full awareness to the process and allow easy release of muscle groups in harmony with extended exhalations. Never bounce or try to force a stretch." I could not agree more -that is the foundation of the yoga practice I do daily....So, who knows...maybe Leonardo was a closet yogi!
Yoga Quotation of the Day: "Exercise without body awareness and poise can sometimes do more harm than good." Michael Gelb in How to Think Like Leonardo da Vinci.

I was curious if you ever considered changing the page layout of your site? Its very well written; I love what youve got to say. But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people could connect with it better. Youve got an awful lot of text for only having 1 or two pictures. Maybe you could space it out better?
