During my prayer and meditation time this Memorial Day morning, I gave thanks for our military personnel who are so brave and put their entire lives on the line to protect our country. It's a commitment that I must admit, I don't think I would have the courage to make. And, one of the great difficulties that many of our military and veterans face upon their return to lives as regular citizens is the unfortunate post traumatic stress disorder that they suffer and which can devastate their lives.
Fortunately, in recent years, programs teaching yoga and meditation have been found to be effective in helping veterans who suffer from PTSD to regain their lives. The 5-minute video shown below features two veterans who share the immense benefits they have gained from learning yoga.
