Thank you Deborah. I apologize for the delayed reply. We had problems with the Comment section for a while.

Yes, on occasion, I do not feel like practicing or pressed for time. I do give myself a break once a week. However, for the times when my motivation lags, I just remind myself of how much better I feel after I practice.

If I am under the weather (colds or something which happens rarely)- I rest then. I do NOT push myself to practice if bed rest is needed.

Hi, Laura:
I just want to tell you how much I appreciate your blog and I have your book that I refer to for poses often.

I find it very difficult to stay motivated to practice yoga daily. I can keep it up for a few weeks, then alas, fall off the wagon for weeks and sometimes months.

Do you ever have moments when you just don't feel like practicing yoga or are feeling under the weather and just need the rest? How do you mentally convince yourself to practice, even just for ten minutes?
